MR. LEOPOLDO IBARRA    ROOM 318

For the 2010-2011 school year, I will be teaching three sections of Senior Christian Lifestyles courses, focusing on choices leading to college and beyond for our outgoing Senior Class.  In addition, I have picked up two sections of Sophomore level Religion courses, which are Social Justice and teachings in the first Semester, focusing on injustices in our society as well as the book Enriques journey, and Sacraments during the second Semester.  I have commited myself this year to ensuring that each member of the Salesian community participate in a service hour opportunity and create a reflection to reinforce their experience.  Also, this year I, as a teacher, am making the commitment to allow my students to participate and share more of themselves in my classes, thus creating a more unified Salesian family.
Retreats and Senior college applications are also something I will be involved in this year, and because of that I will be encouraging students to participate in these activities and will also be challenging some to take leadership roles in them.  I look forward to a great year not only in teaching the young of Salesian, but creating leaders for the future.
