Welcome to the new site for SHS's New Music Program. My name is Mr. Mata and acting music director/teacher. In order to best serve the music students at Salesian High School I have given them a daungting task in helping me create our music classes for our 2011-2012 school year. Together we have created the following classes, Beginning Guitar I, Instrument Ensemble, Drumming Ensemble, and Band (Rock/Garage), Rock Band/Digital Music. I am very excited about all our music classes, and this year students have taken an initiative in developing our digital music class which will colaborate with our Rock Band class. The music students and I share great excitement for this school year and we have one more hurdle to overcome. The music program is very limited on instruments and must require students to purchase their own. We are currently working on acquiring the resourses to procure instruments to SHS Students. The Salesian Music Department clubs for the 2011-2012 Academic year are The Salesian Drumline Club and The Salesian Mariachi Club.
This new music program website will help parents and students access contact information and important downloadable documents such as parent note, and sheet music. For homework, classwork assignments or grades please refer to Power School. If you have any further questions or would like to schedule a conference other than my office hours feel free to contact me.
