Join The Youth Leadership Consortium (YLC) for the upcoming College Prep Saturday at Loyola Marymount University on Saturday, December 2nd. The YLC is presenting this free, half-day workshop designed to help middle and high school students from ALL socio-economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds – and their parents – prepare, plan, and pay for college.

College Prep breakout sessions are tailored to address the needs of all middle and high school students. These sessions are tailored specifically to the following groups: 6-8th graders, 9-10th graders, 11-12th graders, as well as parents. This program will be translated into multiple languages, if necessary, to better serve attendees of various ethnicities.
Breakout session topics will include:
- Preparing for and applying to college
- Choosing the right college for you
- Writing a personal statement
- Researching financial aid and scholarship opportunities
- Understanding the real cost of a college education
Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with local business leaders, sponsors, and educators. Registered guests who attend will be automatically entered to win a prize drawing!
