Welcome to the Office of Guidance at Bishop Mora Salesian High School!
“Without confidence and love, there can be no true education. “ –St. John Bosco
Since 1958, Bishop Mora Salesian High School has been educating young men of distinction—faith, intellect, and service. As educators, our calling is to serve the students and instill integrity through academics and find the best suitable colleges where they will grow in the future.
Our school’s history is founded on the principles of our patron saint, Don Bosco. Along with our principles, our mission captures the very essence of who we are by preparing our students for 4-year universities. This department assists all students in academic advising, college counseling, and career planning. For almost 60 years, our students have gone on to graduate from the University of California system (UCs), California State University system (CSUs), and prestigious private universities.
One of the complexities that all great high schools continue to face is how to preserve the best of what they are, while evolving to meet the new demands of our time. As educators, we are the responsible stewards of our world’s history, mathematics, sciences, technology, medicine, education, literature, and so on. As you will find on our website and throughout our school, this high school is a gateway to a world of opportunity. This high school is also a portal where students show results in deep learning, and meaningful engagement through extra-curricular opportunities.
I invite you to learn more about our Home, our School, our Church, and our Playground.
