									Book Review Powerpoint Project:<br><br><br>For your final exam you will make a book review PowerPoint google slide analyzing and breaking down one book we read in class this year. You can pick Moon Knight, Animal Farm, or any books we read earlier in the school year. If you have your own book you would like to use you first need to let me know to get approval to use the book! <br><br><br>Your PowerPoint should be anywhere from 13-15 slides. You can only use extra credit for your final exam if yo have turned in all previous work prior to next week on Tuesday. Follow the guide below in how your slides should be. Each slide should have a decent amount of content but do not plagiarize and copy stuff online. If you are using something online you must cite it properly in MLA with the URL link as well. If you cheat on the final you will have to repeat 9th grade composition again. Cheating will not be tolerated for the final. <br><br><br>Slide 1: Introduction slide, name the book ,author, year the book was released, and brief 1-2 introduction sentences on what the book is about. <br><br><br>Slide 2-4: In-depth summary. Follow the rubric under standards procedures. Your summary should include author's purpose and audience, how author makes their point, evaluation of the book (use one of two quotes), and issues raised by the book. <br><br><br>Slide-5-9: Elements of literature slide: Pick of the following: Character, plot, theme, style, or setting and break it down in an in-depth analysis. You must use at least 3 or more quotes in this section. <br><br><br>Slide 10-12- Hero's Journey analysis: Discuss how the book uses the hero journey process. If it does not tell me why you think it did not and how that worked for the book. <br><br><br>Slide 13-15: Closing Critique: Give your concluding thoughts and analysis of the book, would you recommend it and what did it teach you about life. <br><br><br>You can use images and add color to your slides but you must have complete sentences and grammar.<br>

The lyrics should be two pages. You can cover any topic or themes but keep it appropriate. Once you have written your song, you need to write a 2-3 paragraph response reflecting on the song you wrote. You should include in your reflection why did you write your song? What did it mean to you? What is the backstory of the song? What is a theme or two of your song?<br><br>or<br><br>Song analysis project<br>You will write a 1-2 page essay double spaced on a song of your choice breaking down the lyrics and analyzing what the song means to you. Provide me the historical background of the song, what year was it made, why did the artist make the song? What did the song mean to the artist? What does the song mean to you? Provide research on both the artist and song? Then provide specific lines of the song and break it down in your own analysis. Tell me what makes the song unique and tell me the meaning of the words and lines used in the song. Your last page will be your own opinion of the song, why did you pick it, do you like the song?
