The school year is quickly coming to an end and students will conclude the year with the Spring semester final exams. Below you will find the schedule for the final week of school.  (Final Exam Schedule)

Summer School Recovery- Summer Registration is now open!
 
If you need to recover any Ds or Fs, you may register to recover courses during the summer. You can call or visit the Finance Office or register online by visiting the school website, clicking on the Academics tab>and clicking on the 2021 Summer School Information tab.  If you have any questions about any recovery courses, please email your son's counselor.  
Accelerated Math Summer 2021 Courses!  
 
Would you like to get ahead in your Math sequence and earn 10 units in a 5-week accelerated Math course this summer?  If so, please visit the school website (Academics>2021 Summer School Information).  You may register for an accelerated Math course by filling out the online registration form or visiting the Finance Office.  If you have any questions about the accelerated Math program, contact your son's counselor.  
Dual Enrollment Partnership with East Los Angeles Community College- Summer 2021
 
This past Spring, ten students registered for the first dual enrollment cohort.  Needless to say, it was a tremendous success!  As a result, students are now eligible to register for the Summer Dual Enrollment term.  The courses that are available for the summer term are: Psychology, Communications and Health.  The deadline to register for one of theses courses is May 31st.
If you are interested in taking a Summer Dual Enrollment Course this summer, attend the Ask Me Anything Sessions, hosted daily from 2:00-400 p.m.  An ELAC Student representative will be available on zoom to provide an overview of this program, answer questions, and walk students through the registration process including completing the Dynamic Forms section (one of the first steps you will need to complete in order to register).

Cal State LAunch Pad- Free Virtual Summer Program at Cal State L.A. University

LAunchPad is geared toward juniors and seniors interested in learning more about engineering, computing, and technology.  Students that register will attend a virtual class from 9 a.m.-12 noon on Mondays-Fridays.

AP Exams Coming Soon! Important Parent AP Meeting on...
The AP Exams will take place beginning in May 2021, students will be provided instructions on the exam taking- process at the AP Parent Meeting on Friday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m.  This meeting will be broadcast on Zoom as a webinar.  Please visit the school website to find the webinar link on the day of the AP Parent webinar.  
AP Exam Fees are now due!!!!
 
The AP exams fees were due on Friday, April 23rd.  Please keep in mind that all exams need to be paid and that students are required to take every AP exam.  
Novaa Virtual College Fair for Junior Students on Wednesday April 14th from 9-11 a.m.  
The junior class will participate in a Virtual College Fair along with our partner Onward High Schools including St. Mary's Academy, Cathedral, Verbum Dei, and St. Pius/ Matthias.  This is an online virtual event and ALL Juniors are required to attend.  They will have follow-up activities in their classes based on this event.  Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., students will report to Theology class for attendance and then login to the fair.  
Attention Juniors! Interested in a Head start to College? What about a Potential Full Ride Scholarship?
Apply to the Questbridge College Prep Scholars program by March 24, 2021.  If you would like more information about this amazing college opportunity, attend the Info Session on March 9th at 3 p.m.  The College Prep Scholars program is the precursor to the National Match program (open to seniors in the fall), in which two of our Mustangs alumni were awarded full ride scholarships to Dartmouth College and Columbia University (in 2017 and 2018).  
Last Day of the 3rd Quarter is on Friday, March 12, 2021
The end of the 3rd quarter officially ends on March 12th!  Students are highly encouraged to finish the academic year on a strong note, including making the Honor Roll and avoiding any recovery courses in the summer.
