“Without confidence and love, there can be no true education. “ –St. John Bosco
Welcome to the Guidance and Counseling Office at Bishop Mora Salesian High School!
Since 1958, our college preparatory high school has been educating young men of distinction—faith, intellect, and service. As Salesian educators, our calling is to serve the students and instill integrity through academics, extracurriculars, and community service.
You will discover that our school’s history is founded on the principles of our patron saint, Don Bosco. Along with our principles, our mission captures the very essence of who we are by preparing our students for 4-year universities, the workforce, and community outreach. We are proud to say that this department assists all students in academic advising, college counseling, career planning, and emotional support. We are also proud to say that for 60 years, our students have gone on to graduate from the University of California system (UCs), California State University system (CSUs), and prestigious private universities.
One of the complexities that all great high schools continue to face right now is how to preserve the best of what they are, while evolving to meet the new demands of our time. As 21st century educators, we are the responsible stewards of our world’s history, mathematics, sciences, technology, medicine, education, literature, and so on. With that being said, it is our mission to empower our young men for the future. I have no doubt that you will find on our website, and throughout our school that this high school is a gateway to a world of opportunities.
I invite you to learn more about our Home, our School, our Church, and our Playground.
In the Spirit of Don Bosco,
Robert L. Burke, M.A.Ed.
