Professional Biography: Mr. Chacon was born and raised in Boyle Heights and is a product of Catholic education. He attended Santa Teresita Elementary School and graduated from Bishop Mora Salesian High School. Upon graduation from Salesian, Mr. Chacon attended Georgetown University where he graduated with a degree in English and Theology. Mr. Chacon returned to Salesian as a teacher, coach, Dean, and admissions officer following his Georgetown graduation. After completing three years of service at Salesian, Mr. Chacon left teaching to work in development for Loyola Marymount University and Caltech while pursuing his Masters Degree in Educational Administration at LMU. In 2005, Mr. Chacon received his masters degree and joined the St. Monica Catholic High School community as an Assistant Principal: Dean of Students and was appointed the Assistant Principal of Advancement three years later. In 2010, Mr. Chacon became the principal of St. Monica Catholic High School. In 2015, Mr. Chacon returned to his alma mater and became principal of Bishop Mora Salesian High School. On July 1, 2018, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles appointed Mr. Chacon as the first President in the history of Salesian High School.

Mr. Chacon enjoys being back on campus and seeing the growth of his alma mater in all areas. In his spare time, Mr. Chacon enjoys the outdoors; he is an avid mountain biker and fisherman; he can sometimes be seen at local lakes or on charter boats hoping to hook the big one. Mr. Chacon and his wife Annette are proud parents to two sons: Owen, a 2023 Salesian alumnus currently attending the University of Notre Dame, and Andrew, a 6th grader and future Salesian Mustang!
