Clubs & Organizations

There's something here for everyone! Students are encouraged to join special interest clubs to expand their experience beyond the classroom. Faculty members serve as moderators and help student officers establish schedules for meetings and activities. Students can learn about clubs by attending meetings or by contacting the Director of Student Activities.

The National Honor Society at Bishop Mora Salesian High School, led by Ms. Pearl Parker, recognizes and empowers students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS members are committed to making a positive impact on campus and in the greater community while representing the values of Salesian education.

Through service projects, campus involvement, academic excellence, and leadership opportunities, NHS encourages students to use their talents to serve others and strengthen the Salesian Family.

Salesian Lettermen Society

The Salesian Lettermen Society, led by Mr. Moises Delgado, is the longest-standing student organization at Bishop Mora Salesian High School. Rooted in tradition, brotherhood, and school pride, the Lettermen Society recognizes students who have demonstrated dedication, leadership, and commitment through their involvement in Salesian athletics and school life.

As one of the school’s most enduring traditions, the Lettermen Society provides students with opportunities to build lasting friendships, serve their school community, and carry forward the legacy and spirit of Salesian brotherhood.

Spanish Honor Society

ASB/ Student Government

The Associated Student Body (ASB) at Bishop Mora Salesian High School is central to student life, school spirit, and campus leadership. Led by Mr. Tryvon Harper, ASB provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop leadership skills, build community, and serve their fellow Mustangs.

Throughout the school year, ASB students plan and support a variety of activities, including spirit weeks, rallies, dances, lunchtime activities, school traditions, and special events. Through their work, ASB helps create a positive and welcoming campus environment where students can connect, celebrate, and make lasting memories.

Black Student Union

The Black Student Union at Bishop Mora Salesian High School, moderated by Mr. Anthony Atkins, Mrs. Dena Slye, Mr. Tryvon Harper, and Ms. Kiana Gleason, serves to unite, inspire, and develop students, staff, and stakeholders of African descent, including, but not limited to, individuals with Black American, African, Caribbean, and Afro-Latina heritage.

To advance this mission, the BSU dedicates itself to connecting students of African descent to leadership opportunities at the school site and in the community. Enrolling the BMSH community in acts of service geared towards issues that disproportionately affect individuals of African descent. Exploring the social, cultural, and political factors that shape definitions of Blackness and identity

Service

Criminal Justice

The Salesian High School Criminal Justice Club, moderated by Mr. Robert Ramirez, gives students the opportunity to explore careers and opportunities in law enforcement, corrections, emergency medical services, fire services, and law while developing leadership and a commitment to serving others. Rooted in the Salesian mission of faith, service, community, and becoming responsible young leaders, members participate in community service, career seminars, networking opportunities, guest speaker presentations, and hands-on training with professionals in the field.

Through these experiences, students are encouraged to serve their community, build meaningful connections, and use their talents to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Math Club

The Math Club's mission, moderated by Mr. Jaden Mai, is to enrich students at all course levels and help them reach their fullest potential in understanding the material.

In achieving this through a system of one-on-one tutoring, or sometimes one tutor per pair or group, students are taught at whatever pace is needed in order to fully grasp information to the best of their ability.

The Salesian Knights Chess Club

The Salesian Knights, led by Mr. Thomas Jackson, enjoy playing the game of Kings and raising awareness of the importance of playing chess. The Knights participate in online tournaments against schools in our area and across the county. We host, along with Train of Thought, a major tournament at the end of each school year. The Knights also visit elementary schools to teach students the game of chess.
