My Brothers, 

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope everyone had a great summer and had the opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time with loved ones. However, as we step back onto campus, it’s now time for us to lock in and prepare for everything that this school year has in store for us.

Class of 2030, I hope you guys had a wonderful freshman experience over the summer, making new friends and meeting a few of our teachers here at Salesian. We are aware that you are beginning a new chapter, which may be frightening. Although the transition into high school may feel overwhelming at times, remember that you are not alone on this journey that God has set for you. You have your Mustang brothers, teachers, coaches, and upperclassmen here to support and guide you within this process. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Challenge yourself by introducing yourself to others, joining a club or sport, or simply making a new friend. These four years will go by faster than you think, so make the most of every moment.

And to the Class of 2027, our senior year is finally here. As exciting as it is, I know there may also be some uncertainty about what comes next. Let’s not let this uncertainty get in the way of the opportunities and challenges that come with being a senior. This is our final year to lead, to create memories, and to leave an impact on the school that has helped shape us into who we are today. A goal of mine, and one I hope we accomplish as a class, is to make sure that when we walk across that stage, we can look back and know we gave everything we had to have an amazing senior year. Let’s stay on top of our college applications and have each other’s backs throughout the process.

To both classes, remember this year isn't about going through everything alone. We are here to work with each other, learn from each other, and strengthen each other. There will be successes, failures, stressful moments, and unexpected obstacles, but what matters most is how we respond. When one of us falls short, we lift each other up. When one of us succeeds, we celebrate together. That’s what comes with being a Mustang.

As we all know, renovations were made over the summer to better our campus. Let’s cherish these improvements by taking care of our campus and treating it like our home, because this environment belongs to all of us. As we begin this school year, let’s focus up, hold ourselves accountable, and make this a year we can all be proud of. Let’s make sure we give our teachers the respect they deserve at all times, in and outside the classroom. I look forward to working with you all throughout this year, and I want you all to know that I will always keep an open ear to your ideas, concerns, and suggestions.
