On February 23rd, students from AP Literature & Composition and Honors Literature/Composition II attended a matinee viewing of Luis Valdez's legendary play "Zoot Suit". Both classes read Valdez's play and now had the opportunity to see it performed at the Mark Taper Forum. Following the performance, the students met with cast members to discuss the relevance of Valdez's themes and characters. Salesian students inquired about the play's message and emphasized how Valdez's work transcends generations. Overall, it was a great chance for these students to learn about Los Angeles history and community pride.
Great progress is being made on our first floor renovation. Project completion is scheduled for April 2017.
