Salesian Student Selected for Prestigious Caddie Academy

The Western Golf Association Caddie Academy is a 7-week summer program designed to make caddying accessible to those who would not otherwise be able to work on a golf course. The program offers young men women the opportunity to earn money, meet role models, get ACT/SAT tutoring and learn invaluable life lessons.  Through successful participation in the Caddie Academy over the course of 3 summers, students are eligible to apply for the Evans Scholarship, which is a full-four year college scholarship to one of the participating colleges, including, among others, the University of Notre Dame, Purdue, Marquette, and Northwestern.  Participants in the Caddie Academy are selected based on their academic progress, family financial circumstances, and the quality of their applications.  99% of the participants have never played golf.
