Summer School Distance Learning Schedule:
During the 2021 Summer Term, students will engage in distance learning. All courses will be taught online and include a combination of synchronous (live, virtual meetings via Zoom) and asynchronous (independent) learning. While the combination of live and independent work will vary by day and course, students are expected to be available to meet with their teachers and complete assignments within the following instructional periods:
Instructional Period 1: 8:30am – 10:30am
Instructional Period 2: 11:00am – 1:00pm
Advancement Courses Blocks: 8:30am-11:30am or 1:00pm-4:00pm
Based on the Los Angeles County guidelines in June, students may have the opportunity to join their teachers on campus for in-person tutoring or support services during their office hours. The office hours schedule will be released on the week of June 14th. Five unit courses will meet for two hours per day. Ten unit advanced courses will meet for three hours per day. (Students will be required to complete two hours of asynchronous work after the allocated instructional period).
Student schedules are based on course enrollment and will be finalized the week of June 14. Please be advised that courses may be canceled due to a lack of enrollment.
Students will be automatically dropped from the program (without a refund) for excessive absences. All school policies are in effect.
Final Summer School Schedules will be emailed to students by Friday, June 18th
Summer School Fees for Credit Recovery
1 Course (5 units) $300.00
2 Courses (10 units) $550.00
**Each semester of a course is worth 5 units**
