DRAMA FINAL EXAM - JUNE 2021
FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS. Complete everything. Be brilliant! You have about 2 weeks to work on this so create a schedule and stick to it. Do not save this until the last minute. We will be going over 'chunking' in class, so you understand how to create your 'work schedule timeline' See me if you have any questions.
1) Submit your proposal (GOOGLE CLASSROOM) by NEXT CLASS MEETING (20 POINTS). THIS INCLUDES the following 3 areas -
A) Your name and the people associated with your project (if family members - just say family. If another students - type their name)
B) What do you plan on doing - Although it depends on the project you select but I need to know what it is. So - BE SPECIFIC. Do NOT NOT NOT just write that you are doing ‘G’. I can help you
‘figure it out’ if you need some advice.
C) I MUST OK your proposal
2) Select one from the following list. Remember - this is your final project and will take time. If it does not show time - if it was put together at the last minute - you will NOT receive credit for it - really serious about this.
A. A 5 minute video (uploaded to YOUTUBE - so I can show it to the class) of how drama class can help everyone in real life. Remember - this is 5 minutes in length and you need to host this. You may act out examples to illustrate the points you are making. See me to talk this out - and get ideas.
B. A different monologue than the one you did last semester. This needs to be memorized and on video - and uploaded to youtube so we can see it in class. I will help you figure out the monologue to perform
C. 5-10 minute ORIGINAL film. You MUST be in the film. If you are doing this with someone from this class - both students need to be in the film at some point. You may also use others in the film. You need to have an idea first - and have it OKed by me.
D. Perform a song from a musical (either one we saw in class - or a different musical - I can offer suggestions.) You can do this along with the actual song - or without musical background.
E. Children’s Theatre - You will need to create an AMAZING mask (I will show you examples) and an AMAZING story for the character. You will BE the character telling your story IN CHARACTER) This is not the mask you did in the beginning of the year - this needs to be much more detailed and the acting needs to be spot on.
F. Puppetry! Create puppets out of items around your home (you need to research this a bit) and ‘put on’ a puppet show (you need to voice all the characters - and the show will be about 5 minutes with a beginning, middle and end) You need to film this and upload to Youtube so we can see it in class
G. Write a children’s story - and pretend you are reading it to a classroom of little kids. You need to be VERY DRAMATIC and act out all the parts as you read. There needs to be at least 4 characters in the story - and the story needs to make sense. Remember - this is for little kids! The story should take 5 minutes to perform/read
H. A dramatic reading of a story (at least 4 characters) to a small child/family member. This needs to be filmed and uploaded to Youtube so we may see it.
I. Write and perform a new song to be added to one of the musicals we saw in class. It must be original. You may use family members to help you sing and perform it
J. Write a new ending to any of the musicals we've seen in class (Script format)
K. If you have your own idea - you MUST talk with me first! In other words, I need to OK it.
ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS for PROJECT

10. EFFORT = AN AMAZING GRADE
