Honor Societies at Salesian

National Honor Society
Ms. Pearl Parker, NHS Moderator
The National Honor Society is more than just an honor roll; it is a prestigious society that sets high standards for students across the country. Our mission is to recognize and honor the exceptional achievements of young scholars and leaders, who not only excel academically but also make a significant impact through their service and display exemplary character traits.

Our Pillars
NHS is built upon four pillars, representing the essential qualities we value in our members:
  • Scholarship: We celebrate students with a dedication to learning and academic excellence. Our members are intellectually curious, committed to expanding their knowledge, and strive for continuous growth.
  • Service: Giving back to the community is an integral part of being an NHS member. We encourage and support students in engaging with various service initiatives that make a positive difference in their local and global communities.
  • Leadership: NHS members are natural leaders. They exhibit strong leadership skills, are proactive in taking initiative, and inspire others to reach their full potential.
  • Character: Our members uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and honesty. They demonstrate respect, responsibility, and compassion in their actions and interactions with others.

Salesian Lettermen Society
Mr. Moises Delgado, SLS Moderator
The Salesian Lettermen Society (SLS) was founded in 1959 and holds the distinction of being the longest-standing organization at Salesian High School. We are a group of individuals who share a common pride and spirit, rooted in our calling as Salesians. Our mission is to unite the Salesian charism and leadership as athletes, channeling these qualities into a more significant role of service and welcome within our community.

As Salesians, we are inspired by the teachings of Saint John Bosco, the founder of the Salesian Order. His dedication to education, kindness, and service to young people motivates us to carry on his legacy. By leveraging our experiences as athletes and leaders, we strive to make a positive impact on those around us, both on and off the field.

Spanish Honor Society
Mr. Jose Perez, SPHS
The Spanish Honor Society at Salesian High School is a prestigious organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating the Spanish language and culture. We provide a platform for students to explore and appreciate the richness of Hispanic heritage while fostering academic excellence, leadership, and community engagement.

Our Mission is to:

  • Celebrate Culture: Embrace and honor the diverse cultures and traditions of Spanish-speaking communities around the world.
  • Foster Language Proficiency: Encourage linguistic proficiency and fluency in Spanish through interactive learning experiences.
  • Promote Academic Excellence: Recognize and reward students who excel in Spanish language studies.
  • Encourage Leadership: Cultivate leadership skills in our members, empowering them to be active global citizens.
